Young adults are staying home…
Young adults are staying home, what does this mean for local entrepreneurship trends.
I read this news report today, “Young American adults aren’t moving as much as they once did” and I wondered to myself what does this mean for local entrepreneurship trends.
The report went on to say that continued unemployment was a factor in these young adults staying home and I wondered how many of these young adults have opted to start off on a new path away from the big business corporate structure and toward small or micro business ventures.
At SoBeCoWorks you can stop in most days and find Bijanh Rodriquez (21) busy at work on his own micro business venture. His business venture has to do with wholesaling homes to house flippers. Everyday I see he is making calls to find motivated home sellers and offering to bring them a cash buyer. This young man took the lemons brought on by this current economic setback and has made lemonade by resolving home sellers need for cash and quick sales and home flippers need for inventory. From each transaction he earns himself a commission. I am so pleased that this young man chose to work from SoBeCoWorks because he has shown me that young people can figure out ways to make it in this new economy no matter what the statistics say.
Young people need a place to go that will get them motivated about striking out on their own in this new economic paradigm.
SoBeCoWorks provides a Community CoWorking Space where Entrepreneurs come together to use their natural “Creativity” and desire for “Openness” to “Collaborate” and find solutions to problems, develop new ideas & create opportunities. We are located in the heart of the Lehigh Valley, minutes from the Lehigh Valley Airport, downtown Allentown, Bethlehem & Easton, PA.
